Wayne, WV (June 1, 2019) – On Tuesday, around 9:00 a.m., a high school athlete was killed in a fatal accident that took place on State Route 152.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office initially received calls about the accident and arrived at the scene to find that a 16-year-old, identified as Colt Thomas Adams, was killed in the serious accident. The accident took place when a tractor-trailer collided with Adams’ SUV.
Colt’s sister, a passenger in the SUV at the time, was seriously injured and hospitalized. Police expect her to make a recovery.
Details about the crash are yet to be released. Police continue their investigation into the accident at this time.
